Christian exclusivism and pluralism in a modern world inclusivism
Christian exclusivism and pluralism in a mode world inclusivism When we met with people of other religions? Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Baha'is, etc? Looking at their apparent devotion to his religious faith and inner peace that seems to have the sweetness and that we want to make a place for them in the kingdom of God. " Our weste culture encourages diversity of all types? Racial, ethnic, political and religious. Who is in favor of a path as the only way to salvation of our society is opposed, ridiculed and fears.Of course, God in his sovereignty, may choose to save nobody wants. In his wisdom, justice and mercy, He certainly has the prerogative of the courts often exercise to allow the circumstances and the attitude of the defendant. What's more, this may be a factor in the confluence of a plurality of relationships between cause and effect entirely unknown to humans. We are confident that these benefits, the decisions that only serve to extend his holiness, his grace and his righteousness. We are unable, however, second guess or to make reliable predictions about what he and not as a Judge of all the earth beyond what He has revealed to us. The biblical story in which the efficiency of the examples that the grace given (2 Sam. 12:13 p.m., Ps. 32:1-5; Jonah 3:10), or ignore the weaknesses and failures (2 Chron. 30:17 -20, 2 Kings 5:15 - 19), but also reports that in the past, exacting demands of obedience and punishes non-compliance to the smallest detail (Lev. 10:1-7, 2 Sam. 6:6 -- 7). It is not our attempt to anticipate, let alone to ask what they want or choose to do in specific cases. Our task is only to proclaim what He has revealed in His Word. Jesus said: "No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). His Apostle, Peter, has reiterated the same principle: "Salvation is found in no other, because it is not under heaven other name given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Paul adds: "In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now commands all people everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:31). For us to grant pardon to any hypothetical person who did not respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ seems to be tantamount to calling Jesus (and Peter and Paul), a liar. If he is truly my Lord - it is really your - you can not call him a liar, or to express their statements contradict each other. We must, instead, obey your call "Disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20). If that makes us Christians exclusionists, so be it. If this means that our position is an obstacle for the world, which is good. The cross was an obstacle and a madness for everyone in doubt the entire history of Christianity. However, those who are saved, "is God's power and wisdom of God." For foolisness of God is the wisest man of wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than the force the man "(1 Cor. 1:24-25). * * * Copyright? 2005 Steve Singleton, All rights reserved.Steve Singleton has written and edited several books and numerous articles on topics of interest to students of the Bible.
