> Randy Travis Music ministry is that what you call what I'm doing
Randy Travis Music ministry is that what you call what I'm doing "Listen to the performance and the experience of Randy was certainly all that we had hoped and much more ... but little is expected to be hit by something more profound in a way ... "We had been waiting for this day for a month. Randy Travis to be big fans, my family and I arrived at the concert for two hours before they opened the doors for people with a. .. Make sure you get the first seats. Of course there were the first dozen friends to get there. (This is a common practice Lingner friends were the first in Super Bowl XXVI, when my brother Adam was playing on it.) I always liked Randy, but in recent years, this "taste" has become a full admiration by him as he now uses his gifts to the Lord. I plum wore their last two CD "Rise and Shine" and "Worship and Faith." You have to understand that my family has played traditional instruments. I play banjo, guitar, harmonica, mandolin and a little 'all over it with strings. (Even "fiddle" around a little '.) My daughter Laura (11) Agreements and is playing a little' the violin, my second daughter Estate (10) plays fiddle and mandolin a while ', my son Christian ( 8) and plays mandolin, banjo a little ', my son Teddy (6) collected only dobro, Andrea (4) Shaker plays ... and my one year old Nathan bounces a little 'time and play. We play old-time songs and traditional songs, with which our appreciation of Randy Travis' acoustic music, country of origin and style. We left the concert one hour before the performance. We talked among ourselves, our enthusiasm constantly discussing the possibility to see and hear Randy sing. Then, the moment finally came highly expected. Randy went out, picked up his body jumbo acoustic and started playing and singing. Which sounds as good as in the concert recording ... his sweet voice sliding easily from the registry under the terms of the series ... Randy Travis the only way he can. I could not believe that here I was watching Randy Travis setting in an intimate, almost as if it were in my living room. Randy heard the performance and experience of all was definitely what I expected and more ... but soon I expect to be hit by something more profound ... In mid-performance, Randy took a break to do an interview with the pastor of First Family Church, Jerry Johnston and his wife Christie. Randy proceeded to give his testimony .... to grow angry, troubled young people ... often in trouble with the law and under the influence of mind altering substances. He was shot "straight ... He is not trying to deceive anyone here ... we think that is something he does not. Randy, I first heard that the witness, so it does not shock me. Then shared how the Lord has influenced their lives. How true that is the fate, God was with her gift for his glory. He becomes the first time I heard someone call his church performance "ministry of music" ... he said to himself ... "ministry of music ... is that what you call what I'm doing. " Then presented the Gospel ... cited some verses ... nothing fancy ... and I hate to say this, but it seems boring and monotonous for me. Then the incredible past .... Jerry Johnston, took the microphone and asked if anyone like to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. And you know what ... did. I think it is fair to say that people have accepted Christ that night 75-100. I was impressed. There was no preaching of luxury ... a simple story ... and a short gospel message. But the fields were ripe for harvest. This is a reminder for me that sometimes we all need to do is ask. Some sow, reap some harvest. Sure was a great concert. But it was not the experience of music continues to resonate with me after I left. It is the impact of a talent that has the soul to the Lord for his use. Randy Travis is not just Singin 'more ... the ministry is doing the music ...
