The warning Archippus

The waing Archippus Colossians 4:17 has always been for me a poem curious. Paul has just concluded his letter to the church of Colosse. Among the greetings, the usual, at the end of his letters, he throws what appears to be almost an afterthought? Tell Archippus:? The work that you have in the Lord. The Bible can not be? T Archippus us much. The only other time that is mentioned in the book of Philemon, where Paul refers to him as a colleague of sound. I can not help but wonder who he was and what kind of work he has done for the Lord. And why does not he feel about Paul, to be sure it's up to the end? Bear with me for a moment, but I speculate. If Archippus has a special gift from God, there was probably around him who do not understand that the gift or be jealous of his ministry. Perhaps Paul was also important to remind him of hanging there, even if his loyalty is not to make him the most popular around Guy. Another possibility is that Paul knew Archippus has a special gift, but was not in use for the full, as the uncertainty or self doubt. With this message in a letter to the whole Church, Paul wants to strengthen Archippus? Public confidence through reiterates his conviction that Archippus is able to live up to his vocation. Or perhaps both were right. Perhaps Archippus was already doing very well in his ministry and Paul just wanted him to greater heights. As an evangelist with an active ministry himself, Paul knew well how easy it was to lose sight of the big picture. We? Ll never know Paul? The real reasons or as Archippus answered, but this brings me to the question: What is the work of the Lord has given you to do, and you need a reminder, to see the way to their conclusion? Think about it for a minute. Did you ever feel discouraged or conces? Have you ever been distracted from what should be done for all the other things you could do? Some are for public prosecutors, while several other ministers daily private, less obvious ways. Perhaps you work for a good income for your family. Perhaps your ministry as a Christian example to your workplace or neighborhood. Or maybe as a single parent, your job is to make your children as best you can. Whatever your situation, Paul has a message for you today. Don? T give up. Don? T standing self-doubt. Don? T is distracted. These spontaneous Archippus message is equally applicable today, was almost 2000 years. Whatever you have to do, make sure that the work that you have received in the Lord.
