> Seek first the kingdom of God
Seek first the kingdom of God My life has been a lot of joy, pain, defeats, victories, and sin. Through all this I have spent many years trying to succeed in my profession, and a good father, husband, and a member of a local congregation. I was an officer of the church for many years and have tried to be effective in this role well. A few years ago, I concluded that no matter how successful I am in any of these things I've said before, everything is useless if you do not have a real relationship with God. " So I started to pray and ask God's word for the answer. Jesus gave us the answer: "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. "(Matthew 6:33) The conclusion I reached, as Christians seek to serve God and do His will, we must seek God." This is the most important thing that we, as children of God, it must do to prove ourselves to God approved. Paul in his epistle to the Romans says: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service." (Romans 12:1) admonition of Paul to the Christians of Rome has much to do with yielding to the Holy Spirit and be an instrument of God's service. But it has also much to do with the search for God, continues in two ways, "and do not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, which may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God "How can we be truly transformed unless you seek God? What does it mean to seek God, or how to go about finding a God? A search, as used in this capacity, the means to overcome a common way to something. Or in other words, the constant search. This does not mean to seek, find and take something. It does not mean the same thing over and over again, to be constantly looking. A few years ago, my wife decided she wanted a new lamp for the living room. He knew exactly where he was going to make, but does not know exactly what type of lamp he wanted. She spent many hours in a period of several months in search of (trying) the perfect lamp for a place in the living room. I heard her fretting the fact that you could not find a lamp like that of many months. Then one day came home with a lamp. He announced that he had found the light that he wished to put on the table, and I have never heard another word about the lamp. He tried the light, that is, then. You probably do not think much about, after that. This is not what God is looking for. We are not able to find God, find him and then. We can not put a man on the shelf somewhere and forget it. Paul in his Epistle to the Colossians gives us an idea of what it means to seek God, he tells the Colossians: "If we raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God" . Set your mind on things above, not on things on earth. "(Colossians 3:1,2) we must set our minds on things above. In other words, we need God in the forefront of our consciousness. How are the problems in life, or take decisions, we must ask: "What God has done for me in this situation? "We need to get rid of the phoniness of" equality of Christians ", and is known as a person who seeks God There are many ways to seek God through prayer, scripture memorization, fasting, study of the Bible, which attending worship services, communion service, listening to gospel music and sermons recorded, the meditation on God and His word, for Christ and sharing with one another. The book of Isaiah tells us that we must seek God while He is near, "Seek the Lord while you can be found, call him while he is near. "(Isaiah 55:6) The search for God is also the exercise of our faith in him. It 'impossible to please God without faith. (See Hebrews 11:6) However, for many Christians, the only time you make a conscious effort to find God is when there are problems, when they want something or when we expect a blessing. This is not to seek God with all my heart. So why people do not seek God? The answer is for us, in the fourth chapter of Deuteronomy, in verses 25-28. Many of us have fallen into the same trap as the Israelites, who have created for ourselves false gods. Some of our idols are money, work, family, things (cars, houses, etc.), sport and leisure. Not any of these false gods, or perhaps others? There are other barriers to seeking God Unfortunately, the society in which we live corrupts. These corruption will be the search for God. " Some of the most obvious is corruption: the television (or rape movies, soap, etc.), magazines, search for pleasure, and materialism. Some may be less obvious, work schedules, family obligations, the leadership (community, business, church), rights, etc. There are also other things, is not always the same for everyone. He is what we are dealing with life on our corrupt the search for God When I was growing up in the'50s-'60s and early, never heard profanity on television. Now we see homosexuality, abortion, and additional material-all issues promoted on television every week, not to mention a lot of profane and vulgar language and violence beyond compare. These things are evil and corrupt our search for God. " In all this, however, there is good news. Jesus tells us in the sixth chapter of Matthew to "Seek first the kingdom of God." Then, in chapter seven, said: "Ask, and it will seek and find, knock and open to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, as he calls it opens. "(Matthew 7:7,8) You may feel distant from a true relationship with God you can search and find him. But that simply is not true! If you're not a Christian, then you should seek God through giving your life to Jesus Christ. You must believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. " You must repent of their sins, confess to your fellow man to believe and be baptized in the watery grave of baptism. Then you're ready for a life-long jouey in search of God. " If you are a Christian now, and have not been as close to God's life, as it should, now it's time to start the jouey. The Apostle John tells us in his first epistle: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. "(1 John 1:9) Confess your infidelities now and begin the long jouey of life that is constantly seeking and finding God. Seek and find God is a wonderful experience. I noticed that when my life truly seek God and his righteousness, it seems. I am so excited and happy that I try more, I believe him. This, in tu, makes me happy and I would invite him over, then I believe him. The more the man I seek, to find more. Jesus told us in his word, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice to be filled. "(Matthew 5:6) What a wonderful promise, that if the hunger and thirst for justice in the sense that if we seek God, He is. Do not let the things of this world keep you from trying to find God and Jesus tells us in his word, "With respect to profits if a man gains the whole world and loses his soul? "(Mark 8:36) Do not let the world corrupt and will be looking for God." Do not let the world is due to lose its soul. I know that some teach the doctrine of "Once saved, always saved." But is not this what the Bible teaches. We are all in danger of losing our soul, if not to seek God So remember brothers and sisters, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness ... "(Matthew 6:33) I have many favorites Favorite Scriptures Scriptures, which contribute to making this world to live through every day and in Jesus Christ. Here are a couple. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eteal life. "(John 3:16)" And if it seems evil to you to serve Jehovah, choose you this day that you need, whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose territory they inhabit. But as for me and my house to serve the Lord. "(Joshua 24:15) All scriptures are quoted from the New King James Version, unless otherwise indicated.
